I've been buying Nike for 10years and now I am not boycoting nike because of Pacman. I am boycoting Nike because of its bias decision. Gotta burn those nike shoes i have and so as my friends', i will just tell them someone has stolen it.

From one legend to the next.

40 years ago, a young runner received a package as he prepared for Boston. That runner was Bill Rodgers. And the package came from Oregon legend Steve Prefontaine.

Pre sent Rodgers a short note along with a pair of running shoes. They were Boston 73’s, created by a company called Nike.

The shoes fit a little loose, but they were the best he owned. Rodgers would tighten them as he toed the starting line come race morning.

Two hours, nine minutes, and fifty-five seconds later, he went on to win the race and break an American Record.

This was my indoor shoe for spikeless surfaces in winter of 1973 which I believe was the debut of the Nike brand. I remember this because of it's quality and affordability.
Nike offered a nylon upper shoe that was lighter, durable and more affordable. Asics and Puma could be had back then for a lot more$. Nike started out as track shoe.
